Other places of interest in the palace are the “ChiniChitrashala”,” famous for its blue and white ceramics, and the “MorChowk”,” known for its magnificent peacock mosaics in the glass.     2. Pratap Memorial Moti Magri

    The locals ascend the hill to pay respects to Rana Pratap and his loyal horse “Chetak,” who guarded him ferociously and remained by his side until the end. A striking bronze statue of Maharana Pratap and riding his beloved Chetak perches atop the Moti Magri, which overlooks Fateh Sagar. This devoted horse gave its life while escorting its master away from the Haldighati battlefield to safety. Pratap Memorial Moti Magri is one of the best places to visit in Udaipur.

    3. LAKE PALACE

    The palace was constructed on an island near Jagmandir in Lake Pichola between 1743 and 1746 and was formerly known as Jagniwas and used as a summer castle.     The builders constructed a palace named Jagmandir on an island in Lake Pichola. They started construction on this building, also known as the “Lake Garden Palace,” in 1620 and finished it in about 1652. The royal family used the palace as a summer home and gathering place. Interestingly, Emperor Shah Jahan, who rebelled against his father, Emperor Jahangir, and became the ruler, was offered refuge here. The Palace had such a profound effect on Emperor Shah Jahan that it later became the model for The Taj Mahal. one of the most spectacular Wonders of the World.     8. Bagore Ki Haveli

    Bagore ki Haveli is an opulent palace that the Prime Minister of Mewar Kingdom- Amar Chand Badwa built in the eighteenth century on the waterfront of Lake Pichola in Udaipur, Rajasthan. The haveli boasts over a hundred rooms that have elaborate exhibits done up in mirror and glass works. Beautiful paintings and murals from the Mewar era adorn the walls of the palace. The Queen’s Chamber is the most popular of the lot, which has on display two very gorgeous glass and mirror sculptures of peacocks.
